Subscriber Sorting

To make it easier to browse subscribers, you can now sort them. Just go to the "Subscribers" section, and select from the sort menu.

Mail Merge

PR Mailer has mail merge. Just insert codes like %%firstname%% and %%lastname%% anywhere in the subject, body, or template of your message, and the appropriate fields will be inserted for each subscriber. New subscriber fields Custom Field 1 and Custom Field 2 have been added for use with mail merge. For more information, check the notes in the newsletter editor.

Full Width Option

Newsletters are normally wrapped in a 600-pixel-wide container to aid in message formatting. It's now possible to disable this option, causing your newsletters to fill the subscriber's window naturally. This option can be found while editing a newsletter.

Stats information

Campaign stats pages now show the title and a link to the maillist the campaign was sent to.

Bounces / commas in subscriber names

A bug was discovered that caused false bounce messages to appear.

If a subscriber first name or last name contained a "," (comma), PR Mailer would send an extra message to an incorrect address. This extra, incorrectly-addressed message would bounce, causing the correctly-addressed message to appear as bounced.

The old, incorrect bounces will still show in your stats, but new bounces of this type will no longer occur.

Spam filter avoidance

Some spam filters were scoring PR Mailer's emails to be more spam-like, due the unsubscribe link included with each message.
The link has been changed to make newsletters pass spam filters more easily.

The maillist page now contains a "code" button to make it easier to put PR Mailer forms on your web site.
